Our school year goes thru to the end of June.

My nephew's birthday is Christmas eve, he never gets a party. This year my SIL is having an end of school party for his half birthday.

Same as our schools.

Even having a birthday 9 days before Christmas sucked. I always heard about why do I need to party or get much for presents as Christmas was just around the corner.

See.. The only kids I felt more sorry for were those born on a leap year. I only knew two.. They were twins. They use to revel in the fact that they were only 3 years old but then I told them they were going to die at 20 or 25 and that took the wind out of their sails. ;):)

My ex-boss, who is a good friend, got married on Feb 29. Boy, do I have great respect for his smarts. ;)

Got my brick wall almost done. I was playing around last night a bit and put together a hand blended HDR image. What do ya think?

Ok, lederhosen and BBQ aside....

My older brother came to the event tonight. That's out of character for him. I've seen him more in the last 3 weeks than I have in the whole last year. (and we live in the same town).

Anyway..

He said that before tonight, he thought I was whacked (LOL!) and crazy. That I was some sort of animal nut, and that I needed to have my head examined for having so many dogs at my house.
He said that after being there tonight, and seeing what it's all about, and seeing what we do, that he 'gets it' now. And he started crying.

It was a really great moment for the two of us. He hugged me, and said he was proud of me. I don't think he's ever EVER uttered those words before. EVER.

Awwww . . .
And Happy Birthday Guineh!

*runs in, unnoticed, to post the NEW Jammin for the Animals video!*

This is the video they played at the event last night.
Some of the parts are the same as the video from our last event, but much of it is new. :)

ENJOY!!!
