oh fer crying out loud...it's sideways hailing here. Spring will never come.

My house is relatively clean, coffee is roasted, 1 & 2 on the list are done. Laundry is going to wait until tomorrow.

Sideways hail?

Not sure why, but call me JJ.
I used to hate math but then I realised decimals have a point.

Sideways hail?

it's windy too so the hail is falling at quite an angle...if we were in tornado country I'd be expecting one the way the weather has been today.

An interesting problem. It is quite easy to train a dog not to get under your feet, you do it on a short lead and initially you look stupid as you have to kick your legs out as you turn, they very quickly learn and during the learning process the worst that can happen is you tread on them a little, horses don't tread a little they tread a lot so I am not sure what to do here.

Not sure if the "Leave" thing is the same with you but I have found, very small puppies ignore it, slightly bigger puppies respond instantly, adolescent puppies respond after testing to see if you really mean it and adults do as they are told.

As for the leccy collars I have never used one but Harley got zapped by a leccy fence on the farm once about 5 months ago and now will not go anywhere near it.

I am with you 100% on the short lead and the not treading lightly issue horses have. I have two thoughts. One is a hunt whip. To those that don't know it is a stiff handle about 2 feet long that usually has a hook on one end made of stag that is used for opening and closing gates. On the other end is a long lash that reaches the ground. The lash can be swung through the air at a hound which makes a loud whooshing sound causing them to scare from it, they can be cracked making a loud noise to startle the hound, or the lash can be dropped at the horses side as a visual reminder not to run under. The other option is an e-collar. Then I guess I can just wait until she gets thumped once or twice but that seems like a really bad option.

Zoƫ had the same experience with a hot wire. Unfortunately they are off right now and she is not respecting them so when hot again she is going to get a surprise.

The fence has now been broken for maybe 10 years and who knows where the collars are but Scouty still remembers where that line is and will not pass it. Between the two they probably got no more than a few shocks apiece, that's all that was needed.

Really good tools as well. We had one for Jinx. It was on for two years and she never wandered for another 7. She started wandering when she convinced herself, correctly so, that there was one tiny spot she could safely exit from. Truth is she could walk out anywhere:lol:

wow, that's WAY better than being shoved in the toilet paper tube-like thing here.

what's the MRI for? I'm sorry if I missed it, if you've said it before.

well, expect blue skies next. It's bright here with white puffy clouds...for a bit. A big black cloud is on the horizon.

more info for my hip/now lower back issues, I have to drive an hour away for this place, but I think it will be worth it, I can barely do the open ones with valium, sitting up will make a huge difference. I need to be completely sedated for the toilet tube ones, I needed one a few years ago and simply never went and never went back to that doctor!!

oh wow. I haven't felt the skin burn but ditto on the hours (mostly broken up in segments...18 min. 20 min. etc etc). My gosh I just feel like I'm insane in there. All that knocking and you can feel your breath coming back on you because the tube is so tiny...hate them. BAD. The only thing I hate worse (mostly because they are just so demeaning) are the EEG's...all those stupid electrodes all over the head...it gives me anxiety just to think of those.
