As some of you know...I live in a sort of artist's community....one of our members had her home featured in a photo and video tour this week. The photo tour may only work in IE....but if you want to see a very unique home....it is worth it. The only truly bizarre part of the home is the kitchen....which is located on the second story, which is only accessible by a very narrow spiral staircase. All the furniture on the second floor was hoisted to the second story deck and then taken into the house. Also, the house is on the far end of a dead end road, halfway up the side of a rather serious mountain. The home is only reachable by 4 wheel drive or on foot about 9 months out of the year.
The photos are here.....http://www.citizen-times.com …3&Lopenr=303240050&Ref=PH (external link)

That is cool Dan. Major reno when they can't go up and down steps anymore...unless there is a hidden elevator.

No elevator....and the road to the house is just beyond belief. They hosted the after party from one of our studio tours....and it wasn't hard to understand why several people that had hoped to visit here studio turned around and went elsewhere.

OK, os I downloaded the CS4 trial and I can't for the life of me figure out how to change the cursor to a single arrow. It is in triples and tiny, I tried edit> preferences>cursors...but it doesn't help.

Sounds like my kind of place.

My friend and his wife inherited one of the last islands of private property on the Potomac near D.C. It was really fun to go hang out as it was only accesable by boat. They divorced and they donated the property to the park service.

So you sayin' your family is a bunch of freaks? ;) I wonder if any of our Sandy Mush neighbors have volunteered their homes for one of the next shoots.

Thanks for the move Pete and Hi, long time no mod.

Good to be around. I know I've not been around for a while, things have been pretty busy (but not really done a great deal)

Z...it is exactly your kind of place....horses in the pasture below the house....no nosy neighbors skulking around....incredible views...you name it.

No... no... My family was here LOOOOOOOOOOOOOONG before the freaks moved in.... I'm just sayin! Back in the good ol' days there were not bumper stickers that said "Keep Asheville Weird" I hate those damn bumper stickers! Asheville does NOT need to be weird... we are a beautiful mountain community... we don't need freaks! Grrrrrr Artists fine, some of them anyway... some of them fall into the lines of freakish...!

The pictures don't really do it justice....and the view from the deck off the kitchen is just crazy.
