Apparently this photo was on the cover of Stars and Stripes (in 1967 or 1968 ). Obviously I was a great reader even back then ;) (and if I'm making you nuts with these I'll stop) LOL

That's a cute shot. :D
No worry on making us nuts, seems most of us have already qualified. :p

Kiddy... In 1967, I was getting ready to head off to Vietnam.

I'm betting this story has something to do with dirt. :p

It looks like all 14 dogs that were accepted at HWAC have been adopted already. Some of them never even made it to the website under adoptable dogs.
See? That is why we make the trip there once a month. That is an amazing number, and one that would be near impossible for us.

*waves* hi everyone.

Hi Cat, that is fantastic that they all have been adopted. :D

Sure you will, but the humidity will be like 85% and you'll be begging for some wind just to move the air.;)

Suppose to have that much humidity today. But it's cold so it doesn't feel bad.

Diane, I so cracked up over the "historical" that I think, when I finally do put these in my gallery, I'm going to use that in the title.

Sheesh, I guess I'm "historical" right along with you, Lisa.

I am crazy mad busy at work at the moment, but I went to watch the Aston Martin Owners Club racing at Mallory Park on Sunday.

These cars are very old very heavy and very valuable and yet their owners trow them around the circuit with holding back.

There are loads more pictures of the event HERE (external link)

but here is a taste

Very kewl!!!! Would love to see them for reals someday.

Whoopie! I don't have to go back to hell for two whole weeks!

The car is in the shop getting new brakes. The repair bill is significantly less expensive than I was expecting, so I added an extra day to my trip. Instead of heading home on Friday, I'm gonna go up to Lake Tahoe instead (100% chance of snow there today! :D), spend a night, then go to Virginia City and Bodie (if the road is open) before heading home late Saturday...

Lucky you...

*hands out juice boxes and cookies* Everyone lay your towels on the floor for nap time. Okay so all the other kids have nice soft blankies for nap time, I just have this terry cloth towel, what of it? *eyes Crissa's blankie*

HAHAHAHA! OK, true story....

When I was young, my family was pretty poor. So, when I was going to kindergarten, my "naptime" blanket was the rug out of the laundry room. It was full of lint and dog hair. I didn't care, it was my blanket. There was this girl in my "class", Holly was her name, and her family was filthy rich. No, really. Like, crazy. She had a naptime blanket that was made out of some exotic fabric and her name was embroidered on it. She made it a point to put her blanket next to mine, not because she liked me, but because she liked to tell me how much nicer her blanket was compared to my "rug". I kid you not. She did this all the time.

Which is probably the reason I "accidentally" spilled stuff on her blanket as often as I could, much to her dismay. I think it had to be dry cleaned, so everytime milk, or grape juice, or finger paint got onto her magic carpet thing, she wouldn't have it for a few days until it came back from the cleaners.

I probably should feel some guilt for that. I'll work on it.
