Don't you need line of sight for that?

Yeah, ST-E2 uses infrared. I was hoping it'll go through the softbox because it does a great job bouncing off a wall and triggering a flash behind you.
I am using umbrella now and have been wanting to try soft boxes, but I am not sure it'll work with ST-E2/580EX-II setup.

Yeah, I'd think you're going to be S.O.L. there. Try a cheetbox/alzo/lastolight/ebay knock-off.

The new PocketWizard AC7 RF shield (for the Canon 580 EXII flash and others with RF problems) has a built-in umbrella mount. I think this could make a perfect Off-Camera-Flash rig: Thoughts? (besides the fact that the PocketWizard stuff is expensive)

Pocket Wizard MiniTT1 transmitter for Canon $199
Pocket Wizard FlexTT5 Transceiver for Canon $229
Pocket Wizard AC3 Zone Controller $69.95 (not available yet)
Pocket Wizard AC7 RF shield (with umbrella mount) $29.95 (not available yet)
Westcott Apollo 28" softbox (with umbrella mount frame) $109.95
Manfrotto 366B Basic Light stand $47.95 (better quality than the Westcott stand)

5DM2, 70-200 f/2.8 IS II, 16-35 f/2.8, Really Right Stuff BH-55 LR, Gitzo GT3531
3 x 580EXII's, PocketWizard FlexTT5's, AC3 Zone Controller, Westcott Apollo softboxes www.focalpointmarketing.com (external link)
