I love my new S90, but what's with the strap?? It's too big for the wrist and too small for the neck...
Thanks,
Elfie

Thanks Tom! I still like to know from somebody what a neck strap is...
I used my wrist strap from my SD950 and that works well.

Thanks for all the replies!
So what you are saying that the strap that comes with the S90 is totally useless, go out and buy either a wrist strap or a neck strap that works.
I just don't get it why there is not a strap included with the S90 that works???
I still love the camera!!!

Thanks,
Elfie

get this never-ready case and you can wear your camera SLR/tourist style. handy for those days you need to be hands free and quick on the draw.

sneakerpimp, that looks like a nice setup!
I was just surprised that the strap out of the box is totally useless!
All my other Canon cameras (and I have bought a few!) always had great straps.
Oh well...

I tied a single knot around the plastic piece, on the strap, to shorten it. It fits much better now.

I have brown ebay version of this and it's great. An unexpected byproduct is the use of the fully extended strap acting as a camera steady

For goodness sake, tie a knot in that strap to make it shorter, and take pictures!;)

Better than a knot is a slider, like you find on the cords on
a coat. I got mine from a haberdashers. It replicates what is
missing on the S90's strap, but is present on any IXUS I've seen.

I just tied a knot and the cord stays on my wrist quite well. Seems odd that Canon did not put a slider on it, since this is supposed to be a high end camera in its class.
