For the last fifty plus years I have been shooting, I've found it very comon for many models, cheap ones and not so cheap ones, to be supplied with crummy straps.

I find it more odd that it comes with no provision for a filter adapter. I didn't even realise until after I'd bought it, and stumbled across some of the solutions/products people have come up with. I guess sometimes the simple things just get overlooked.

edit: I should add, all the P&Ss in our house are wearing Wii remote wrist straps. We bought a 4-pack of genuine ones some time ago, very handy with a slider and look stronger than most wrist straps too.
