HI...we have been using www.ifp3.com (external link) for the past 2 years for our website (see sig below)

Im up for renewal in 2 months....and for $400 for 2 years...i think there's a better deal out there for us. Its been great for the 1st 2 years as its nice and simple to use, but there's more i want to add. If anyone can point me in the right direction it would help a lot!

What we are wanting is to have our website www.wickedphotography.com.au (external link) operating as normal...but within that website we want the ability to have some of our models own mini website (bio's, contact details etc). We have 2 models at the moment who we have registered domains for and direct to their freebie websites (2 different hosts). What we want to be able to do is set the forwarding to their mini site within our website.

I hope i've explained myself :)

Look forward to hearing the ideas!

Cheers
Steve

I use host rocket and have been very happy. $70 per year, unlimited bandwidth, huge storage, and unlimited websites.

That is crazy expensive. We're trying Bluehost next. Heard good things. Stay away from Go Daddy

I'm in the middle of searching for a host myself...there are MANY hosts that can get the job done...here are a few I'm considering...

http://www.hostgator.com (external link)
http://www.dreamhost.com (external link)
http://www.bluehost.com (external link)
http://www.justhost.com (external link)
http://www.mediatemple.net (external link)

I want one that is WordPress compatible, uses cPanel and has unlimted domains and unlimited MySQL and of course is cost effective!
All the other stuff such as domain names for life etc...is a cherry on top.

Sorry I couldn't recommend ONE, I haven't decided yet. HostGator has a 45 day money back offer, so I'm considering those with that, just in case I don't like what I'm getting.

Im in the midst of finding one too and here are the ones that i've narrowed it down too. All offer what ChrisMc73 is looking for and also repeatably show up in the top 10 on all the hosting review sites.

I think hostgator is the winner of your list, I read about great CS and the cPanel admin is what everyone raves about, so its probably going to be my winner...I can only mull over this a few more days before I go mad!

I know what you mean, I am in not as big of a rush and so i manged to take a break from all the hosting options since there are so many it really can make a person go mad!

The only thing that i didn't like about hostgator is the fact that to get the unlimited domains you have to go from the hatchling plan to baby plan. 5 bucks too 8 bucks a month.

Only a couple bucks but comparing to ipage where its like 4 bucks in total a month. Too many decisions for too few dollars

Yeah the increase I didn't like either I don't think iPage uses cPanel though, which scares me a bit, even though one thing I read said they loved cPanel, but that iPage's admin page was very well done as well, just not the industry favorite cPanel.

Ah ok, I have to google cPanel when i get back home. I just realized on hostgator that it 'starts off' at the listed price. And that is if you go on for 3 years. 10 bucks monthly if you only go for one year for the folks to dont want to get locked in long term.

If cPanel is really worth it then i could justify the bump from 4 bucks at ipage to 8 at hostgator

Yeah they all show a really cheap price per month, then you have to dig deeper to see its that price for longer periods of time. But, are you locked into being with them for that period? That's what I'm wondering, if I pick the 3 years at $4.95 or whatever it is, do I have to stay with them for all 3 years?

I like that justhost has a anytime money back guarantee.. so you can sign up for their longest and cheapest plan and cancel anytime with the remainder of your money back..

I went with JustHost, so far no issues. Its all coming back to me now, like riding a bike, I used to be a web developer and so getting a site up is just a matter of refreshing myself.

I'm actually being lazy and picking a WordPress or HTML/CSS/XHTML template to customize. Problem is there are a lot of great looking templates. I need to get my logo designed, then I will have an easier time picking out a template to customize with the look of my logo. So now I'm on the search for my branding look and logo.

Well thanks to you too im saving some money :)

I was about to sign up with hostgator and I figured I should just check out this thread for some odd reason before going. After checking out JustHost im actually going to sign up once I finish this post.

At 3.95 per month its a wicked deal. I talked to someone at JustHost since I couldn't find a difference between the premium and normal service besides the two extra domains. As it appears on there website the only difference is the two extra free domains you get at 8.95 per month. Going with that though it would be an extra 60 bucks a year where as 2 domains at godaddy are a lot cheaper.

Plus they have cPanel which after googling seems to be very good :)

EDIT: Theres actually a coupon code '50OFF' that you get 50% off if anyone is interested

EDIT 2: So signed up. After coupon it came to 70 bucks for 2 years. Didnt bother for 3 years or more since besides the 1 they were all $2.95 canadian per month.

$2.95 per month for everything unlimited plus all there other offerings and $250 advertising credits is awesome

I have IXwebhosting and so far it is great. Has Cpanel which isnt too bad, just a bit of a learning curve.

I think it was $75 for two years after I found a coupon online (just googled it). The only bad thing I have found so far is a file size limit of 2mb?! not bad for my site and blog needs but if I wanted to store something etc. I'm going to have to dig deeper on that one.

Great customer support as well.
