I've been lurking around this forum for awhile now. I was looking for inspiration from other photographers. Now I've finally got a chance to post my own.

When I used to do a lot of studio work, I noticed that some babies tend to stick their tongues out a lot, others don't. Photographing a lot of special needs kids, the same issue existed, if you can call it an "issue." What I would do is have the mom just one ft out of camera range and would have her touch the baby's (or child's) tongue. 9 times out of ten the tongue would go back in. I'm not saying that the baby's tongue being out in this picture is a bad thing, that's what babies do. But if YOU ever think you'd like to not have it in the photo, that is a technique to try. That was the only shot that I got with his tongue out .clear fishing line glued to the tonue. in/out, just give it a tug. Sue Cassidy
