4 days ago I ordered 6 ink cartridges for my R2880 from UK Direct, an on-line Office Supplies business, using a 20% voucher.
Next day, a knock on the door, a parcel arrives. "Golly Gosh Batman, how efficient"!
Not exactly, the dispatch note tells me all six carts are there, my eyes tell me that two are missing. So I send the company an email just in case they really do think they can forget me. A quick reply, full of apologies promises to send the two missing carts next day.
A knock on the door, a parcel arrives, "GOLLY G..........." (you fill in the rest).
This time I get one cartridge, the dispatch note tells me that Cyan is on back order. Now I already had the Cyan in the first batch, its Light Cyan I'm still missing, so send them another email to make sure we are talking the same language, not double dutch. Quick reply, full of even more apologies, but the picking has been done, cannot unpick, Cyan was on back order, has since arrived, been picked regardless and is heading my way, along with the Light Cyan.
So tomorrow morning I expect to receive two cartridges (I hope), only to immediately hand one back to a bemused FedEx driver!
Bearing in mind these were all bought using a 20% discount voucher, I'd guess any profit has been totally shot by now. I do hope this only happens here in the UK, or we are doomed.
