So I rented the 100mm L lens for 2 weeks. We are going to Callaway Gardens tomorrow and to Cumberland Island next weekend, but today I've been walking around the yard practicing. I'm not overly impressed with them, but wanted to post a few and get suggestions on where to improve. I was not using any flash on these. Only natural light. I've read LordV's post, which is fantastic, and now need to practice, practice, practice. Anyone have a book they would recommend or just simply shoot all I can?

Trying using a smaller aperture. The first image you shot at F2.8. Try something smaller like F8 or F11. I love the natural light, color and composition. Also Bryan Peterson has a new macro book out that might be of use to you.
