I am in a process to buy. I need a camera that can focus better (for fast action) than my 5D and 5D II. Am I on right track? Also are there any issues with IIn that I have to look into? Thanks

Good luck, I remember being shocked at the performance of the 1D2n when I first got it, it's AF and burst speed are very impressive if you've never used a 1D body before. Dean

Apr 09, 2010 18:57 | #5 No I have never used 1D body before. I jumped from 30D straight to 5D and then 5D Mark II which was a great jump actually IQ wise. Thanks I know more about gear than I know about photography

Apr 09, 2010 19:16 | #7 Thanks so much Eric. Most likely low light isn't going to be an issue for me. And thanks for the offer to come over. I am kind of stuck with my damn work this weekend I know more about gear than I know about photography

If I really, really need to nail the focus, even on still subjects, I get better results with the 1D. - Keith

Apr 10, 2010 18:04 | #10 I went from a 20D and 30D to a MKIIn. the II is a revelation (even still after owning it for 2,5yrs). I kept the 20 sold the 30 and used the 20 as a second body. Problem was like the 30, the 20 was just too slow compared to the II (I shoot motorsport). So having the 20D created one problem. I was pulling lenses off the 20 and swapping to the IIn all the time. This resulted in me buying a MKIV last Saturday (oops Canon 1Dx MKII, Canon 1Dx, Canon 1D MKIV, 2x Speedlite 580EX II, 16-35 L, 70-200 IS L, 24-70 L, 300mm 2.8 ISII L, 50mm f/1.4, Sigma 12-24mm Fisheye, Sigma Art 35mm f/1.4
