So I have a Canon XSI, and was looking for a flash to play around with, will this one work? Any tips or tricks when using one?

i wouldn't trust a cheap flash like that. If you just want to play with it as a slave flash or something then go ahead, but if that will be your only flash I would suggest a Canon speedlite...

the Yougnuo (sp?) flash you can get on ebay is pretty decent
check out the flash and lighting forum, there is a thread on it, if you'd like to read about everyone's experiences.
I just got one, $71 with free shipping
