First link does not work for me. But from the way you worded your post, the Lee is a better buy? I don't want to buy junk, and I don't mind spending a little more for good stuff.

Edit: Will the Wide Angle Ring also work for non-wide angle lenses?

Edit 2: I noticed the Lee Foundation kit says it is designed to hold filters that are 2mm thick. I then noticed Hitech filters are 1.5mm thick, not 2mm thick, does this present any problems?

Edit 3: That link provided for all the Hitech filters, they seem to not have neutral density filters, they only seem to have graduated filters (but I can find filters from Adorama or B&H without much problem)

1. The wide angle ring will work with lenses other than wide angle. I have both the wide and standard rings...never have used the standard ring.

2. Not a problem. I used the Hitech filters for several years with the Lee holder...never had an issue.

3. Hitech has neutral density filters also...you'll need to troll the 2filter.com website or try B&H.

Thank you so much for your help, I feel like I am ready to buy this stuff!

I also recommend the Lee kit too. Here's a link to my setup with the Lee CPL and Lee ND. I love stacking my filters. :)
