After the retched pain of watching all my friends and photog peers around me step up to full frame, I finally was able to find a good enough deal that it made me take the plunge. Shooting with the 50D has served me well for these 1.5 years I've had it (along with the digital cameras before it) but here is my new love!

The thing is perfect! Got it from ebay and from what I can tell so far there are only 2 small spots of dust on the sensor. There are more spots on my 50D than this.

Here's a few pictures I threw a little editing on:

And one totally untouched, just converted to jpeg. I did have my circ. polarizer on though.

It's pretty great, isn't it? :)

I made the switch last August...everything is just that much better with FF. The 85 feels amazing and I just love how the bokeh on FF looks so much different than on crop.

I remember going to the local camera store when I was first getting into photography looking for a body and the guy said, "You can start with a 40D, it's a great camera, or you can just go all out for the 5D!" I felt like that day would never come but it did and I'm so glad I switched to the dark side.

Cheers...enjoy your new toy!

Yes, I would've loved the mark II but that is about 3 good weddings away. lol

headshotzx - I've been looking at the next lens I would like, those primes are looking pretty good!

mooseknuckle - Same way for me! Except it was the XTi (had film cameras before), then stepping to the 50D, and now to the 5D classic! The way I see it is that anything less than full frame is the dark and full frame is the light being let in!

Wonderful thing about a full frame is the "pop" effect. Titanium, your images have that full frame flavour "pop" coming from a zoom. I know when I had my 50D I couldn't get that "pop" easily out of my 24-70L.

Start setting your "brick" to 35mm, 50mm and see how you like that focal length. The 35L is truly one of my favourite primes on a full frame. Its semi wide so it tells a story through the background and
subject will stand out when shooting at large apertures.

Enjoy! I still love using my 5dc.
