So, there I was, shooting my son's first ever candy league soccer game. I got the usual, "Holy crap that's a big lens," comments. Anyway, this guy walks over and kneels down beside me. He didn't have a camera and it seemed rather odd to me. It's not something that usually happens. Anyway, he starts asking me questions about sports shooting. I'll be the first to admit that I'm not the best and I've never been on the sidelines of an NFL game. He asks how I got started. You know, the normal questions. Anyway, he goes on to say that his son is a freshman in high school and loves photography. He asked if I would "tutor" his son in sports photography and he's willing to pay. We chatted a bit after the game. We're suppose to meet later next week to discuss starter equipment for his son. I'm interested to see how the first talk goes. No, I won't recommend the MkIV and 400 2.8.:D

I guess you're right. I would hate for the kid to take horrible photos w/ the MkIII and 300 2.8.
