what are these dots?

some of my lens, when I look at them hard enough I can see these small dots... I tried removing them with the lens pen or the lens solution cleaner but they won't go away... what are they? they're like the size of a needle pin

It doesn't show up in pictures or anything, it just bothers me knowing that its there lol

are they inside the lens? could be dust.. I hate when that happens but can't get to it without taking the lens apart. Do not use air in a can whatever you do! sometimes I 'get lucky' with my regular blower though, but I'm a chicken at cleaning my camera equipment.

no, they're on the outside.... they don't look like dust, it looks like if someone took a needle pin and dropped it on the lens, so there are these small dots... you can barely see them, but it still bothers me

Sounds like imperfections in the coating of the lens.

is it on the Sigma? my Sigma lenses that I had at one point all had those little specs on the front elements.

Yup it's on the sigma....

Pictures are still clear as heck tho

Then why worry?

alot of lenses have these imperfections, if its not hurting your pics dont worry about it
