I've been playing around with bubble popping shots for a while now. So much fun! Early morning when the sun is low seems to be the best time for colors and reflections, not to mention the less challenging wind conditions.

Awesome! What are you using to make the bubbles? Your pop seems very different from mine.

Thanks man! I use a mix of Dawn, water and glycerin. I used to use Miracle Bubbles because the first bottle I tried had awesome colors and swirls, but the next few I tried were almost worthless.

I think the lighting may have a lot to do with why they look different. My shot is directly back lit by the sun. Also, I'm not sure what temperatures you're dealing with, but it was pretty cold when I shot that. Low 20's I think, so the bubble solution gets really thick and syrupy, and they do pop a bit differently.

The temp must be the difference as mine is back lit too but it is 70 degrees in this shot. That's just another thing to play with I guess ;-)a

I'll try making a thicker solution too.

Thanks!
