Thank god you have something else in the shot to make it interesting to look at. There are so many well put together shots like this out there, but yours stands out because of the little extras. Nicely done.

Love it, but... I find the twig (or whatever it is) distracting.

Reed.

It's like some of Steven Spielberg movies where he tends to overdo it (i.e. Schindler's List, when the protagonist breaks down in front of the prisoners for not being able to save a few more because he held on to his luxury car, etc.) Fine film, but at times, a touch overdone.

Are the figures Photoshopped in? Not the fact you have done so is going to change my opinion but I am just curious.

I like the reed/twig/troll monster!

I actually don't find the people appealing. With them, the capture would be so zeeeeen.

This shot is technically well done, but confusing. What's the relationship between the reed and the two figures? It isn't clear to me and that makes it frustrating. It's like you have two subjects.

Right. Either the reed, or the people, but not both.

I find the 'twig' the opposite of frustrating, in my eyes it points the way TOWARD the two objects on the end of the dock, like an arrow. I love this photo... Good work.

Thanks for the comment! The silhuettes are from another picture. I had already everything set and wanted to take the shot when then these two men came along. And I thought that they would make a wonderful contrast between the nature (twig, water, sky) and mankind (the two men and the mole, whats also made by human)

So I made one, with a faster shutter, to capture the men, and another to capture the clouds, and to make the watter loose its texture.
