G11 - High Speed Sync?

Does the G11 have high-speed sync with external flash units, like the 430EX II? My G9 has this capability, but I cannot find the same confirmation in the G11 User Guide.

The G11 User Guide says you can use shutter speeds up to 1/2000 sec with the flash, but that is referring to the built-in flash. In the back of the manual it says you are limited to 1/250 sec with external flash units.
