A lot of people think Im a jerk, and Ill admit that at times in the past I probably have been a bona fide jerk, but I really just try to give people an honest, straightforward opinion that will help them improve. I tend to adhere to the view that there is always room for improvement in pictures. Ill applaud anyone once they show growth, but I would be sure to remind them that there is always more they can do to keep improving their skills. Thats how I would hope people would treat me, so thats how I treat people.
). It's one thing that sucks about pro ball compared to say college, high school, youth - in pro you're often stuck in certain areas you have to shoot from as they don't want you in the way of others. One reason I loved shooting for the colleges this past spring so much, freedom to do what I wanted and try different angles and such - actually shooting the game/scenes/etc. and not stock. Unfortunately though when it comes to stock photography your focus is getting as much as possible (which is like shooting for print sales as well), not very creative on the crops because the editors want to do that to fit their needs or space.
