Tracking a Great Blue Heron across a pond gave me this, I was lucky that AF locked on every shot, then I photomerged them in PS.

Amsterdam?

No, it was taken in Newport Beach, California. They were taking a quick drink break after handing out some plastic firefighter helmets to the kids.

Can I take your picture? "I'll swallow your soul!" Well, my camera will at least.

My number of views on Flickr are no where near as high as some of the posters here... But this one seems to be the favorite for now.

1385 views since April 9th. Unfortunately Smugmug doesn't keep historical stats.

When you view stats on smugmug you can change the date range for the stats displayed by clicking on the date range at top left of the stats page.

Hope that helps.....

My most viewed photograph (1,213 views so far) is this Exploding Pigeon:

I didn't realize at the time I titled it, but 'exploding pigeon' turned out to be a relatively popular search term, so it gets placed at the top of those Google searches.

It looks as if I've inadvertently tapped into a niche market catering for dysfunctional characters.

Mike

My Galleries tend to be specific, such as Events or Places. I post on a few specific interest boards and, occasionaly, I get referals from specialized sites to specific Galleries which generates more traffic. I post images on POTN, shamelessly at times :-) which also might get someone curious enough to take a look.

I think it is important to post new stuff as often as possible to get people to keep coming back.... at least the ones that like what you do, enough to Bookmark your site and have a reasonable expectation that in a week from today, there will be some new stuff. If I could do it, weekly, let alone daily, I would.

I really need to organize and name stuff better so I actually get higher in the Google hit list for searches. I'm pretty ignorant when it comes to this stuff.

As you can see, I am no expert
