I went back to our local small lake this past weekend and captured this little guy... Lighting was diminishing as well.. Nuthatches are more tolerant of people in public places... I was within 20' of this guy, not possible here at home..

Nice shot Norman. Been wondering where you got to. I also wonder why they like this particular pose so much. It would sure be a neck stiffener. :)

Norman,

Very pretty shot of this Nuthtach in its classic pose. They can be pretty friendly here, oftentimes will land within feet of me when out by the feeder. fun birds, boy have I learned they loveeeeee meal worms too.
