Ok, here's a few random shots with the 'new-to-me 5D' that arrived on Friday. Taken at 11:30 am Sunday morning with the 135L. Does this look pretty representative of a 5D and a 135L? Let me know. thanks!
dave

A fellow NE Ohioan! :) Not many of us on POTN.

Congrats on the new-to-you camera. Add it to your sig.

As far as "representative", you'll find a lot of people using the 135L for primarily "people" photography. They look fine to me, though. :)

Welcome aboard. :)

What do you guys use as your 2nd body or backup to your 5D? I've been using a 20D alongside my 5D and am finding myself wanting to upgrade to another body that performs similar to the 5D in terms of dynamic range, ISO performance, etc. Not necessarily exactly like the 5D, but at least similar.

I know the files will inherently look different when mixing FF and crop systems, but I was unsure if something like a 40D can produce files that process close to the 5D. Ultimately the best option would be to get a 2nd 5D, but I'd rather not have to sell lenses from my current setup to fund it if I can avoid it.

Hello, Max,

Great photos from your vacation - thanks for sharing. Switzerland has been welcoming (and wowing) visitors for years, Caesar, in 55 BC, came to call and was impressed. Really fine mountain top shots!
Again, thanks for sharing...Joe

Just bought a second hand 5D few hours ago! Really looking forward to see the first results. Where's a model when you need one. ;) I updated from my trusty 350D.
