The more I think about it, the more I'm starting to believe this is really the only option. Otherwise I will always be favoring the 5D shots since theres something about the files it makes... I have both set up exactly the same way so its easy moving from one to the other when shooting with both bodies which is most of the time.

What are you aiming the evaluative meter at when you take this reading? Not doubting your results, just wondering the method as this hasnt been my experience.

If I shoot outside and I aim at the grass (which I guess belongs to zone n° 5 of the zonal system), for example, I'll have to set + 0,33 to the exposure. And sometimes won't be enough. Flickr

And sometimes won't be enough. If I shoot inside the camera will underexpose by 2/3-1 stop in similar conditions...and this happens without aiming at white/strongly enlighten objects (in this case I'll need to overexpose by 1.5/2 stops). I know that this is not a serious problem, but it's really bothering me! Unless you are metering with a 18% gray card, instead of grass which has a great degree of variation, and then comparing that to a calibrated light meter I think your technique is flawed. I think you are just dealing with the vagaries of a reflected metering system.

A client requested HDR, since I loathe it i tried to go easy on it, and use flash where I could...let me know if you can tell which ones i flashed and which I HDR'd. Some real estate (gotta pay those bills): My guess would be that the first one is HDR and maybe the 4th one (out of the 5 house pictures posted)... -Max

I had no underexposure issues, and my technique was the same. Flickr
