I have been obsessed with photography for 35 years. Got addicted while serving in Uncle Sams finest. Got out of the Corps and got a B/A in it and have been working in it full time for 24 years. Its certainly got its moments. But I wouldn't change it for anything. For me it's completely different. I have an MS in engineering, and picked up my first SLR about 7-8 years ago. -Max

There are some awesome shots in there.... Has anyone from this thread been published? As was mentioned, I got a couple into POTN Book Vol 3.

I also had two images in the Richmond (VA) Times Dispatch last spring illustrating an article on the gentleman who is the Chief Spotter for FOX Sports and their NASCAR coverage. This shot was part of an article for MIX Magazine (a broadcast industry trade publication): That's awesome, I gotta say -- I really like the watermark on that picture. I didn't notice it while looking at it, and then it accidentally "pop'd" into view. -Max

airfrogusmc I'm a chimper. There I said it... More info | Apr 16, 2010 15:00 | #305 IVIax wrote in post #10008013 For me it's completely different. I have an MS in engineering, and picked up my first SLR about 7-8 years ago. For the first 4-5 years I used it pretty much as a P&S . Only the past year or so have I been working on improving my photography, and slowly but surely I'm seeing improvements . Picked up a few books on the way too. My wife has it easier, she has more of a photographers eye for these things, I have to work my ass off to "see" a shot. It's fun though, I can't complain.

I like the baby shot but I think you need a more contrasting background on the product shot. Black maybe?

I needed one recently and would like to add one to the bag. I remember quite a while ago people were talking about a Chinese product or something, but I didn't save any information on it.
