No idea. I am just learning so I wanted something that would be good to just learn with. Somebody had suggested the Kaeser brolly boxes that are like 29.99-39.99 for two of them.

I started with umbrellas, then an ebay version of a shoot-through softbox (which is what I think you're looking at from Kaeser), like these:
http://www.skaeser.com …%22-UMBRELLA-SHOOT/Detail (external link)

Then I got what I consider to be my most flexible modifier (for speedlights, anyway): the Photek Softliter. Very versatile beast. I don't care for the spill you get with the shoot-through boxes (like the Kaeser above). There's no way to control it.

If you want something like a softliter on the cheap, Kaeser has these: http://www.skaeser.com …SOFTBOX-REFLECTIVE/Detail (external link)

They're rather small, though.

My next Speedlight modifier will be a Speedotron 22" beauty dish with a Kacey grid. Excellent light that's very controllable.

Well it is crap like this that makes us the people we are today...and unless you are one big con artist...I would say you turned out pretty darn nice....

What doesn't kill us makes us stronger....or something like that. Sometimes it just pisses us off more....;)

Heh! I modified that saying for my own personal use because, well, I'd say it's often a choice as to whether we become stronger and, sadly, for some it may not happen. So, I say it "Whatever doesn't kill us can make us stronger!" And it looks like the Family Tiff have been making good choices!

Very cool, Jon. I keep thinking that if Addy was a boy you'd have a shot of him with a stogie and a scotch by now. :)

Very nice. Glad things are working out. You're a saint to take her in like that. :)

Bet she never had images like that taken of her before.

Nope.....I've got a ton more to process but told her she could only have three.
