^^^^ superb shots bob and k3b!n. Im really diggin the first and last shot bob. if i may ask, what was the lighting in these shots?

and if i may provide some C&C the vignetting in third shot doesn't work IMHO... and although it works well in the first shot maybe a bit reduced amount of it will be better. just my thoughts.

Thanks. The vignetting in the 1st shot is purely due to lighting and wide angle. I couldn't quite decide whether to vignett or not in the 3rd pic. Here's the non-vignetting version:

Check my flickr stream for lighting descriptions. The 4th one was natural light only.

So I'm spending my first semester of college in london, and currently have a 50d and a 35 L. I'm in the market for a 5d, simply because the images it produces are beautiful. So, does anyone know of a place where I could get a pretty well used 5d, that may be a little cosmetically beaten up, but still functions just fine? Cash is low, since I'm saving for the semester, but I'm hankering for a 5d. I have checked the BST here and at FM, but almost all the 5dc's seem to be in mint shape with bg, etc. I simply can't pay for a mint one.

You could try KEH.com, and craigslist I think would be your best bets.

So I just sold my 100L :(

But I bought a Canon 85 1.8 to help with my sadness :D (should be here in a week).

^^^ I dunno, why, but I had to share that with you guys & gals, lol.

Why did you sell the 100L?

Why did you sell the 100L?

I just wasn't shooting as much macro as i had thought I would. And I bought the lens thinking i would benefit from the IS it had shooting in low light conditions (no need to bump up ISO hand-held)... but quickly realized that I never really found myself shooting with a 100mm lens in conditions that were low-light.

So I decided it made more sense to re-buy a 135L again. Since I wanted a 85mm lens as well... after selling the 100L I decided I would get that first then save a little and buy the 135L and a 1.4x TC and some macro tubes to go along with it. That way my kit is a bit more versatile and more rounded out. The only thing missing from it would be a UWA and a long tele which are more luxury items then a pressing concern.

^^^ Long story, eh, to explain why, LOL. In a few short weeks... I will have gone from 35L + 100L to 35L + 85 1.8 + 135L + 1.4x TC <<<< the latter made more sense to me albeit at a little more cost.
