Fine, be that way! :p:p

So I went to move my car just now and decided that since this new gallery was opened i'd wander through. I had seen some photographs from the street and wanted to check the work. I was not that impressed. Some of the photos were completely OOF and was being sold for $400. A few of the photos were really nice but I didn't feel like there was anything hanging in this fancy pants place that I couldn't take.

I'm convinced I need to learn how to market myself as a landscape photographer.

Does anyone else's 5D not focus that well, compared to other cameras? After upgrading from my T1i, the AF speed and accuracy is much slower on the 5D. I'm just wondering if it is normal, for my 5D has trouble focusing on things where there isn't a VERY high contrast line, where on my T1i I can just point it at anyone's face and it would focus (using center focus point for both cameras).

On the center points my 5D is pretty comparable to the 40D. Not quite as good on the outer points.

I have only had mine for little over a week, but I find I'm getting alot of keepers. The 30d/40d would quickly find SOMETHING to lock onto and let me take the shot, the 5D seems to slow me down quite a bit and take BETTER shots. My Sigma 24-60 2.8 is a slow lens (no HSM) so it's kind of hard to judge AF speed, and it's the lens I've been using mostly and in all sorts of lighting conditions. I have used the 85mm and it seems to focus fast and accurate. Hopefully I'll find time to use my 70-200 soon.

I don't mind if someone wants to take it on. I'm just being lazy, had a strange day today...

Actually, no. I do about 4 in the mornings, regularly, but I am thinking about doing the Marine Corps Marathon next fall, so I want to see if I can double my distance and not die. If I can, maybe I will start training for MCM. :)

(I'm off.. see you in 8 miles...)

Picked up a 5D last night so I went for a bit of a walk this morning and took a few shots. I like it so far but I definitely need some work to get the best from it.
