haha didn't even notice that, more of a hipster fest, but there was indeed a beard/moustache competition

That top shot sure looks to me like Landis and one of his many Boomboxes. Cool.

Question:

Is it possible to run the EOS Utility with Windows 7 (64-bit) for camera settings/remote shooting? I have no problems downloading pictures from my 5D when in Print/PTP mode, but PC Connect i am having issues with. I would like to install some custom picture styles. :(

yes, i have it running perfect. What you should do is install eos utility, and then update it. You can download this update from the canon website, you should pick the one for the canon 5D markII.

That's too bad jay. My experience was totally different. I dropped it off at the service center myself on Thursday, got it back shipped overnight fedex on the following Tuesday. Total time 4 business days, 6 days including the weekend.

your one of the lucky ones then! honestly Canon Canada is a mixed bag of bad and good. Obviously the bad ones voice there opinion and experience more. Nevertheless, Canon Canada in comparison to Canon USA has a pretty bad rep and way more stories of bad experiences with Canon Canada.

Glad you got your servicing done without a hitch.

Hmm.. are you sure you are running Windows 7 64-bit?

The problem i was having was with the actual 5D driver when in PC Connect mode (had this issue when I had my 20D as well).

Anyways I came across a more tedious solution... installed the Windows Virtual PC and XP Mode (feature of Windows 7 Pro and higher), and installed EOS Utility (new version) in the XP Mode and got the picture styles working. It was a pain, but I didn't need to find an old computer and they are on the camera now so that's all that matters. :)

Thanks Mike!, They were all shot with the 100mm f/2, all wide open I believe.
