I had CPS send me both the 5DII and the 1DsMkIII and I really think my next camera buy will be a Leica M9. Now that is truly impressive. All manual, no FPS, NO VIDEO, a photographers camera. I found both the 1DsMkII and the 5DII having to much stuff I don't use or want. The menu's are a mess and way to big. Just to much stuff or me and my style of shooting.

I did like the higher pixel count, the micro adjust and the higher ISO but not enough to pull the trigger on either.

lok at that 5dII again allen. I dont use video at all but i do use live view. Its fantastic and only one click of the button. comes in very handy for tricky lighting. The viewfinder on the 5dII is a huge step and for the work we do, i cant be beat. Its put my 5dc on the back up menu, but the classic gets a lot of use. The 35L and 85MM lives on it for no flash stuff. Hard to pass on the canon glass and you would miss your 200L. 5dII is a fantastic camera, and you keep the 5dc look,,only a lot better. above 1600 and at 3200 the 5d2 cant be beat.

QUOTED IMAGE

Great shot! A few years ago I found a huge sunflower field and did a few shots with my other FF camera (EOS ELAN) they turned out pretty good, but wish I had the 5D!

I looked through a lot of my old photos last night, taken mainly with my 400d and 17-55. The difference in IQ between that camera and lens any my 5d and 50mm lens is amazing... I was very happy with my old camera and lenses until I bought this!

Mike I wasn't knocked out by the 5DII. To much stuff for me. In fact my perfect SLR would be the F-1 with a 21 MP FF high ISO back. I will probably keep one 5D and some Canon glass but in all reality Canon glass with the exception of the 200 2L is not in the same league as Leica M glass.

The one stop gain with the 5DII is huge but to much other stuff I don't like about it. Video being #1.
