hey, how do you set the photographer for the copyright in the EXIF on a 5D? I bought mine used and someone pointed this out from my EXIF:
IMG NOTICE: [NOT AN IMAGE URL, NOT RENDERED INLINE]

it's not in the menu... Would a reset get rid of it? How do I change it?

You need canon's software (doesn't work in 64-bit windows 7 though). Connect and edit the photographers name (I think it's through the same menu as "remote shooting" (can't remember the correct technical term)).

You're quick. I tried to quick-edit my quote. I had to do it when I got my 5D too, I can't remember offhand -- it's in the same software that you can use to connect your camera to the computer to directly shoot with it.

It's the EOS Utility. I had to use it to update my 1D MkIII.

guys, help needed here...

it seems that my windows 7 64-bit version couldn't recognize my 5D...

therefore i cant update the detail in my 5D to change the owner name from the previous owner's name to mine...

anyone have any idea how?

Fotofanten wrote in post #10941886 (external link)
Hi ChangTan! I had the same problem not so long ago. It is indeed solvable. Check out this tread, in particular post #20. Let us know how it goes.

With Windows 7 64-bit the problem is with the 5D driver. You can DL a newer version of EOS Utility from the Canon website (under 5DmkII or 7D) but that does not solve the driver issue. When you run EOS Utility the "Camera Settings /Remote shooting" area will be grayed out.

If you are running Windows 7 64bit Pro (or higher) you can install the Windows Virtual PC and XP Mode (free on MSoft website) and then install the Utility and run the camera in the XP environment. A PITA, but solves the problem of finding a different computer to use.

they're both amazing lenses. Do you like 85mm better? 135mm better? Lower ISOs? the DOF is about the same. What about length -vs- weight of a lens? AF speed?

used one today and loved it. Wow is the only word I can describe it

Yeah, these images are nothing PP or composition wise. Just me playing around with the beast and getting the feel of it. I was stunned at how easy it was to use after hearing people say there was a big learning curve with it. Love the bokeh btw lol

Hey guys! I am a brand new owner of a 5D!! :D

I paid $900 for it and it came with a official Canon BG-E4 grip too. Only 20,000 clicks and the body is mint. Not even the hot shoe flash has any wear. The BG-E4 does have some wear on it though. Hope to add some pictures soon. Its gonna be tough learning this camera.
