Dude, I'm seriously contemplating trying to sell my 135L and getting an 85L. It would be a better walk around for me as far as FL goes. More of an all around lens.

canon 10-22 (on a kenko 1.4 TC) with a lee holder and hi-tech filters. I was using a 3 stop hard with 2 stop soft most of the morning I think?

That's an interesting combination with 5d. The pictures are very nice so I presume this worked well? How would you rate this compared to the 17-40L? Can you go wider?

My 5D mirror popped out while shooting motorsports two weeks ago :( This prompted me to buy a 1D MKII as a backup camera/motorsports camera while I sent my 5D off to Canon for repair :)

Today I received my 5D back so I now have the best of both worlds...5D for more creative photography, the 1D for more rugged/motorsports use (and the added benefit of giving me extra reach due to the crop).

Neither are good walk arounds in my eye. 24, 35, maybe 50. Or a zoom...

no zooms, hooked on primes. By walkaround, I meant an easier FL to use so I dont have to be so far away from things to shoot

Buy a used 85 1.8 to use while you save? I just have a feeling that if you sell the 135L, you're only going to buy it again later. I mean, look at your signature. :D
