Very, very nice. What is your lighting setup?
Thanks! It's on Flickr if you checked.
Qbox 24 with 580EXII camera left. Can't remember if I used a 430EXII on camera right or not. Looking at the shadows it doesn't look like I did.

All else being equal (both lenses being good copies) they are both just tools in the arsenal of one of the greatest photographic systems around. Each focal length has a different use. IMO, The 50 makes a great walk around lens for general purpose. OTOH, the 85 is a very good portrait lens, especially on a FF camera. The main ingredient in deciding which is better, is "you" the Photographer. ![]() -Bruce i agree. having said that i've had both nifty and 85mm 1.8, i have nothing but praise for the nifty fifty but if it's speed and focus accuracy you want the 85mm 1.8 USM is the lens to get. -=Karlo=- 1D III, 5D Mark II, 17-40 4 L, 35 1.4 L 24-70 2.8 L, 135mm 2.0 L, 85mm 1.2 L II, 300mm f 2.8 L, 580EX II, and a crapload of Elinchrom Gear

This is a photo of my seemingly impossible to capture daughter, taken with a 5D and 85mm 1.8 USM in low light (only exposed using a 580exII bounced stoffen) Very nice use of flash; sometimes I think its a dying art.
