Smoosh!

Nice!

I hope you're not talking about my shot! :) It's one of my crew while we were sitting around waiting for the start of a 48 hour non-stop sailboat race. Shot with my G2.

Holy hell the 5D + 135L combo is amazing! Extremely sharp @ f/2, color and contrast are outstanding.

Thank you! I took that during our visit in Stockholm in March. We're going there again today and I'll bring the 200/2.8LII again, hoping to get more shots like that one. :) The weather prognosis isn't very promising though.

The 85 is really nice (great actually) and I loved it especially on crop for doing headshots and such, I still love it (and the images are better) on FF, but I feel like the 135L might be in my future. :o

There is very little difference from 75mm (on your Tammy 28-75) to 85mm, try shooting at the long end and see how you like it first. Might want to consider the 100mm f/2 which is similar price but a bit longer.

That`s what I was thinking, a prime would be good (I used to have the 50 f1/1.8 ) but 85 is very similar focal length wise to 75mm.

The photos here, such as RacingThoughts one, make the 135L seem compelling. The 100mm is more affordable though.

Meanwhile I have a good challenge to master my current equipment:)

LMAO:lol:. and your not allowed to say 135L in this forum. Someone made that rule and it kind of stuck:lol:..but yes,,its a wonderful combination. the 50L and 35L also shine on the 5D,,but the 85L sucks:eek:,,,,just because i dont have one

Aaaaaa......the tammy is no where in the relm of possibilities as to what an 85L is. Its a decent cheap alternative to a 24-70 but it stops right there.

The 135L is, from all reports, one great, great lens. It is definitely on my radar. Until then the 100mm is on one of my bodies more than any other lens.
