Jon, all jokes aside, great shots & cute baby.

I don't expect to get many comments on my shots, I know they're not fantastic. When I do want feedback, I usually directly ask for help and/or CC either here or in the critique section.

Whats your comment?

Take my comments with a grain of salt, but here they are -- I think it has potential, but don't really like it as is.

The horizon is nearly centered (I would probably place it in the bottom 1/3rd to get more of the colorful sky), the bottom is pitch black and does nothing for the picture, the clouds are black (is that PP??). Other than that I like the colors and lines (highway?).

My 2 cents.

I don't know what pricing is like these days, was different in the 70's and 80's (oops, did I say that).

I think 1200 for your time is pretty reasonable (not to second guess you, but don't sell yourself short), then everything else on top.

If you set your price high, don't lower the price, but provide a special discount on it, to a bride and groom, if you wish. (say 2000 is your price - discount of 800 = 1200). You've reached the same figure, but haven't lowered your original price for future engagements. Only you will know if you can do that.

As Mike is in the business, and so is Geno, they could probably give you some advise on pricing over pm.

Shooting day is different. As you will be new, make a list of shots you want/need to take, then take Geno's advice, shoot lots and cull later.

Above all, enjoy the experience.

Thanks! All comments and critique are welcome.

Horizont is centered on purpose(fking hate the 1/3 rule stuffed on EVERY PHOTO on net), also the bottom is pitch black on purpose.
Im trying to stand up from the mass, if you know what i mean. Trying to do something differently.

I like Leo's idea of offering it as a discount. If you add my expenses I'll second for you. :)

I mostly second and only shoot primary under special circumstances so my pricing is pretty cheap. I do think $100 per hour of shooting time is not unreasonable with a CD of jpegs as the only deliverable. Extra for albums and prints.

I know the primaries I shoot for range around $4 - $5K all in. Albums are a grand though.

It's your art. To each his own. :)

I'm guessing you were looking for praise, not critique.
