Tiff, congrats, good stuff.

Mike, nice shots, I like em.

Allen, I love the boat shot, someday, I will be good enough to take a shot like this, excellent.

Thanks, It was the 24-70L at 24mm

Cheers

Thanks Leo but in my opinion you are good enough. I just made sure I had just enough detail not to loose the shape of the boat and I also knew I wanted to keep that kinda playful dancing the light is doing on the water so I took a couple of spot meter readings and adjusted my exposure to allow me to capture those tones.

Ya know Mike you and Tiff rock these senior shots. Many of the PPA'ers would tear the first one to shreds but I love how real it looks. The expression and over all feel in my opinion trump everything else and you nailed the exposure and balance of the available and supplemental light. Great job. I know that the families are going to love these.

Thanks allen. Appreciate the comments. My goal with seniors is to capture their personality first and everything else is secondary. I feel like we are getting some positive results and im learning a ton from everyone on this thread. I could frankly care less what the PPA thinks, it what my cleint thinks that matters.

Great job you guys. I have some pretty big decisions to make next week. I have a pending offer from a fellow member, I may join the 5DC thread shortly.

I just hope I won't miss the live view, and the 5dMII's anti dust features.

you probably will. there is a lot to be said for both cameras, ut if i had a choice b/t the two and $$$ was not in the decision factor. i would stay with the 5dmkII...some here would disagree. But i like the new features on the camera alot, especially the viewfinder and live view...i use live view a ton especially in tricky lighting
