I see most of you fine folks using L glass on the 5Dc. That's a place to get to for me but for now if I were to invest in the 5Dc how do the regular primes fair on it? I'm talking 35/2, 50/1.4 and 85/1.8. Also anyone doing any wildlife stuff with the 300/4 or 400/5.6 on the 5Dc?

Thanks,

Jim

The first thing I slapped on mine when it arrived yesterday was my humble nifty-fifty (cuz it was sitting on my desk), and I'm telling you, it turned to gold! I was planning on getting a 50 1.4 next, but it just dropped down about 3 places on my list...

Skip it for the Sigma 50/1.4 when you do get a 50. Big difference and well worth the price differential.

I was just looking at a couple of reviews, and it looks like the center of the sig is unbelievably sharp, the nifty kicks its butt at the edges and corners (on an FF, not a crop, where the sig rules). Anyway, it's going to take me a Looooooong time to pay off my new camera and zoom, and then I'll be looking for an ultra-wide, a 35, a 135...and finally wrangle with the 50. If the Sig 50 is anything like the SIg 85, I'll be very happy with it:D

It was a gray day, but I shot anyway. I think I'm really going to like this Camera.

has anyone had their 5D's AF calibrated? Mine seems to be backfocusing/frontfocusing a bit on multiple lenses. Often I'll use a single AF point and put it on someones face, but in the final photo the face will be out of focus and somewhere else will be sharp. It doesn't always happen but it seems to be frequent.
Does anyone know how much it would cost to send the body and lens in for calibration?
