Yeah, that's really hardcore. Dress and bare feet in freezing water...very cool though (no pun intended).

alright guys..
so i've been scheming to go ff

here's my plan..

sell 40d and sell sigma 30
that'll get me pretty close to 5dc range..

would you guys do the same in a heartbeat?

If this helps, I Kept my 40D when I got my 5D, havent really used it since, and thats over a year.

I can't believe she actually did it. But, I've known her since she was in 8th grade and she trusted me. I think it turned out gorgeous and not something everyone will do.

Well...I didn't. My own rationalization was that by getting a 5D I was doubling my lenses. For example, your nifty on a 5D will be very close in range to your 30 on the crop, so yeah, you could lose the 30. The 70-200 though, is wonderfully long on a crop, but is a great "intimate" length on the FF. See what I mean? For the price of the 5D you get a whole new set of lenses (plus FF sweetness). In other words, I'm holding onto my T2i, but maybe that's just me...

i've been thinking of getting one. but do you think i'll notice much difference versus my 60D with my lens line up? i don't really plan on getting any other lenses. the price is great now. i would be keeping my 60D too. i don't need a backup, but if it can provide a bit extra in certain types of pics i'd be interested

is there anything i need to know about regarding the serial numbers?

i'd be looking to use it for portraits, landscapes, and macro. i don't need great autofocus because for this camera id most likely use it on tripods and set up my shots carefully when i can. and i think my 100L macro would be nice on the 5dc. i like to manual focus when possible. i do wish it had liveview though.

hmm... decisions decisions...
