Allen,

Not sure if you still have the IDSIII but I'd be interested in seeing a bit of ISO comparison with it, the 5D and the 1DIII at 1600 and 3200 in low light.

Yeah I do still have it. It wont go back until later this week. I'll try and do some direct unscientific comparisons later today. I know 5D thread but heres a floral I did a couple days ago.

I also had a preconceived idea because of its size it would be more clumsy than say the 5D but I didn't find that at all. In fact I shot this very quickly because the split second after I shot this the moment as you well when it comes to these kind of things was gone. The auto focus is the one thing that really jumped out at me. Its much better on the 1DsmIII. Even the 85L seems faster to focus.

Sorry for the slight jack, now back to 5Ds.

That is an incredible moment! What were you using for focus points? Ring of Fire?

Great weekend here in the ATL. Our photo group got together at a local studio to do a day of shooting....so I dragged the preggo wifey down for some shooting. It was a very interesting day....each shooter brought their own models...

We had my preggo wife, several cute young ladies, some tatto'ed ladies, Darth Vader and Boba Fett, a chick on a swing from the ceiling, smoke machines, a chick in hockey uniform and you name it.

So here a couple of my shots:

Thanks Geno

It was the 24L at f/10 so lotsa DoF anyway I think from abut 4ft-infinaty. I only used the center point I saw what was about to happen focused with the center on the girl in the brown hair/brown top hair on her back, locked the focus and recomposed then when the image was there made the exposure hoping that my shutter speed was fast enough for all my and there movement but I was pretty confidant that the DoF would carry my my focus. Sometimes I'll just pre set the lens in manual using the DoF scale and just shoot knowing that everything within the range on the scale will be in focus but I didn't do that this time. I used the center point.

Nice. You can give Connor a run for his money in the "up and coming" category. :)
