6 of the 7 photos that I submitted for the photo book made the cut for voting... which is crazy because the only photo I submitted that I thought might stand of chance of making the book didn't make it into the Urban section. Sucks.

The only one I thought that was worthy was the only one that the judges thought was not worthy. Just goes to show you... different strokes for different folks.

Cute. Nice shot. :)

I definitely didn't think I had anything worthy of the book.

Maybe next year.

Did you guys get any selected in for the polls? All 4 of mine got in

I entered 14 but only 13 made it to the vote. :( Not sure why the one was excluded.

I joined the club today! :D I picked up a low-mileage, excellent condition 5D from a seller on FredMiranda. I should be getting it sometime next week.

I'll be putting my 40D and Tamron 17-50 up for sale early next week--anybody interested?

Heather :D

I got the 40D and Tamron 17-50 sold yesterday and mailed off today. :D

The 5D is supposed to arrive via the Big Brown Truck on Thursday, but I won't be home to sign for it. I guess I'll have to go to the UPS office after work on Friday to get it. At any rate, I expect to have it in time for the weekend; my husband will be in and out all weekend (mostly out), so I'll have time to go play with it.

It's kind of weird having lenses with no camera to mount them on.

I can't wait! :D:D:D

Heather

Picked up a 5D a few days ago and so far have been very impressed. The viewfinder alone makes it hard for me to pick up my 40D anymore.

I find myself wondering now if something if something is wrong with my 40D. My 50 F1.4 and my 70-300mm in particular are sharper on the 5D. I'm not sure if this has something to do with the bigger pixel size on the 5D sensor or perhaps my well used 40D is a bit out of whack after what I've put it through over the past few years.

Here's a few of the better shots from the couple of days. I'm really starting to like this camera. :D
