I'm wondering if anyone on here with the Lowepro CompuDaypack could let me know if the bottom compartment can hold a gripped 40D and a 24-105 (w/ hood) attached? I've been looking for a small backpack to take with me to Jamaica for my honeymoon and I don't want to take and carry around my larger Tamrac Adventure 9 that I use to hold all of my gear. If anyone has any insight into this I'd gladly appreciate it!

nateut,
I use several solutions for my 7D and 24-105 lens. I also use a 100-400 lens, but not for lite carry and just carry around.
I have a Kata KT D-3N1-20 (comes in a 3n1-22 version for using a laptop)which you can find a description of here:

http://www.amazon.com …oto&qid=1271184278&sr=1-1 (external link) There are a bunch of reviews here as well. Overall it is an excellent lightweight bag that is easy to use and enjoy.

I also have a Temba shootout backpack in medium(stores a laptop also) and use this to carry everything i have photography-wise. This is not a lightweight bag by any means, but it is extremely well built and will last you for a long time. I also use it to store all my gear when i am not out and about. Here is a link to it as well:

you'll find that the kata is considerally lighter, but it is also very comfortable to use and wear. being a duo sided sling and a backpack makes it very versatile.
good luck and have a good vacation
