A "LITTLE" surprise today

While roaming around the yard today looking for something to shoot, I spied a broken egg in the back corner of the coop and thought; those chickens are getting REALLY clutzy. Boy, was I wrong. :shock: ;)

Mother hen keeping a watchful eye on me. Notice the feathers on th back of Her neck? She's ready to attack with all 10 oz of Her powerful self if needed. I was within 1/2 meter of them. :lol: :rolleyes: ;)

The first one is a cute picture. Great job with that one.

I think I would have ran after the mother hen gave me that look:lol:

What a suprise, love the expression on the hen in the second pic. Looks like alot of those are going to hatch, hope you wanted more :lol:

We raise ducks back home, usually the ones that look pinkish (thin shells) are ones that would hatch. If that's the case you're going to have quite a few of them :shock: :lol:

Thanks for the heads up. ;) I hope they ALL hatch. (Beef up the ranks for next years layers.) :D
I've got a few friends that LOVE getting eggs from me, as so far, the layers are all Banties. Something about fresh Banty eggs they like. ;)
