Can I screw anything up trying to download this to my camera. Basically wanting to know if anything can go wrong and kill my camera as I cant afford to buy another. Do camera shops perform this kind of update? Bryan

It is easy, charge your battery to full, if you have a grip, it is better, though un-necessary. Download the firmware to you hard drive, copy it to a formatted memory card for your camera, use the menu system to update your firmware, just make sure you don't turn off the camera while you are doing the update I might just price it out to see, depends how risky I am feeling tomorrow. If the battery runs out while updating, it would most likely ruin the camera's software, this will probably invalidate the warranty on the camera itself
