Regretting shooting with the 5DII

Im a crop shooter, recently had the opportunity to use the 5DII ....mindfucblowamazing , the images looked sharper , cleaner ...much better in every which way I can imagine. I used a 1dIII later on ..and while spectacular ... i really loved what i got off the 5dII , I was thinking of putting some money aside as times have been a little tough ...but I now really cant get my mind off the 5dII

I've always wanted to check one out, too.

I am waiting for the 5DIII to possibly wander into FF... I just really can't go backwards with an AF system once having the 7D. I need/want the LCD interactive focus screen and all that good stuff. Plus, hopefully improvements in technology will also bring even better IQ and ISO performance with the next gen 5D.

So I will save my pennies and wait... But until then, I am perfectly happy

The original 5D aint a slob either if you are hooked. I bought a 5Dc to use along with my 40D. I really should get around to dusting the 40D......

Just make sure you can afford it! It is a lovely beast but you still have to eat

Wait until you have the opportunity for it to pay for itself. My 50D will have paid itself off this year, so when it does, I will get a second body.

Wow! I am hearing people love their 7D and waiting for the next 5d Mk II!
That's why I am still sitting here with all this money (tax money of course)! Ha!

The grass is always greener on the other side. The human mind... plays interesting games. I wouldn't worry yourself that much, plenty plenty good work has been done on crop frames.

I came from a 450D to my 5DmkII about 2 months ago and sorry to say I have not picked up my 450D once. Gathering dust at this stage.

5D Mark II can be bought brand new for $2161!

Bought it on Ebay from Cameta Cameras which is a Canon authorized dealer.

This seemed like a good thread to mention this in.

Got one myself. List price $2349 with $188 off for using Bing cashback, free shipping, equals $2161. Bing cashback took about 3 minutes to do. Idiot proof, although I had never heard of it. Basically, you just find the item you want using their search engine, buy the item as a "Buy it now" on Ebay, pay with Paypal, and they give you 8% off your purchase. Hence, $188 back in my Paypal account. Sweet. More info in the links below. Bing is Microsoft's search engine for anyone that is skeptical (as was I).

This is exactly where I'm at! If it weren't for some of the super nice features of the 7D, that are absent on the 5DMII I'd be stretching for it today!

Consider the original 5D?
