These Sea Gypsies approach ferries docking in the Pier of Cebu City to ask for money. you just toss the coin towards them and they will dive into the water to retrieve it.

they carry their kids/children to the see...its perilous and I pity those kids subjected to direct sunlight and all... please inform me if some of the pictures are deemed inappropriate, I will gladly remove them from my post.

here are some shots.. critiques are welcome :)

All the shots were almost against the sun.. didn't really know what to do with it...as some colors are a bit wash out. so I just desaturated it hehe :) thanks for the critique

What does that PP? It looks similar to a bleach bypass?

I don't have a canon- yet.

PP = post processing.

I think you did a fine job both with processing and capturing the gypsies.....

I'm Filipino and never heard of Sea Gypsies. Just goes to show how hard it is to live back home. I'm so fortunate to have the life I have here in the States. Great shots and thanks for sharing.

they are pretty much everywhere here... as you know we have lots of ports/docks/piers and lots and lots of ferries and boats... they are usually found in big city ports (Cebu & Manila) trying to earn a living by begging and diving for money

I think a lomo look would suit this.

yes maybe or even just plain b&w I guess

the thing is, I am really just starting to pp a lot... I don't even know what qualifies as a lomo.. I have seen some lomo though, I love to learn how to do that effect maybe next time.

but for now, I am not even good enough in normal pp. I am using LR for the usual adjustments and sharpen it in cs4 and some other stuff if I need to..but I only know basic stuff in CS4, I am slowly learning though... :lol::lol:
