there are soooooooooooo many beginner level photography resources, websites, podcasts, magazines (pretty much all of them), books, etc, but there are very few (that i can find) intermediate to advanced photography resources out there, especially on the web...

i find there's not a whole lot i can do to learn on intermediate level stuff... i study photos that i like, read blogs of photographers i'm interested in... and basically that's it...

well... are there other resources out there for someone who has a good grasp of the basics and is looking to get better at the art of photography?

If there's one available, go join a Photography / Camera Club.

Biggest improvements with my photography came once I started getting face to face critiques from others as well as seeing what others shot and how they did it.

...get better at the art of photography?

If you mean "Art Photography", it's a whole other thing & a lot of it leaves me scratching my head. But if you mean "the art of photography" as you said, then learning how to control light to get the result that you want, then it's just a matter of building up your experience, & learning to use your eyes before you take the shot. There's a lot of info on the net for that too. You just need to find it.
While you're looking for a club to join, I would suggest that you look at this site by a working commercial photographer. It Includes videos for studio work for product photography, still life, macro, or portraiture, business tips, etc., has pages & pages of video info, & you could try to duplicate some of his shots:
