something is weird with my rebel XT.

I set the image size to small but when I finished the shot, info screen show the image is at Medium.

I used manual setting and the 430EX II flash. It doesn't matter what image setting I change to. If I set image size to large, the final image still show as Medium.
Does my camera have problem ?

What are the pixel dimensions of the image and do they match with medium or the settings that you had it set to?

Apparently I've been dubbed Foxy.

Photoshop shows the image has 1700 pixels that matches Small size but the info screen on my Rebel XT indicates Medium size.

This is really weird.

Has this always happened or did it just start recently? And do you have the latest firmware?

sorry. I was confused the letter capital M for medium image size. The image size is correct.

What is the capital M beside the metering icon? I can't recall it was there. I use the Manual setting by the way.

how come I can't use other modes such as portrait, sport etc ? is Manual mode lock on permanently ? I clear the setting on the camera twice.

It shows what mode the shot was taken in. M stands for manual, if you had shot it in Av, then Av would show there, etc.
