For nearly a week now we've had several Harris's Sparrows hanging around in our backyard. They're a new bird on the "life list" for me. Also a White-crowned Sparrow decided to show up for a while. The first shot was taken a day before the others. Thanks for looking. :)

Excellent sparrow shots... that Harris's Sparrow is one I never see up here... congrats on the "life list" find.

I got really excited the other day when I saw the Lapland Longspur from a distance... I thought for a minute it was a Harris's. Nice work Brad... I am hoping a few WC fly in soon.

Congrats on the find, Brad. Lovely shots, particularly the last one is great. Some beautiful backgrounds in that series as well.

Well done on a new bird. Nice shots. I've seen quite a few Harris's Sparrows but only in the very far north.

I've not heard of this one before, very nice shots! I particularly like #3 and its somewhat quizzical appearance. :)

Thanks Dan, I tried to recover the photo because of the BG. The bird was really underexposed before the fix. I agree that the shot isn't as sharp as it could be.

Much appreciated Dave, I was surprised to the these Harris's. I noticed a different bird call coming from the tree and soon they came down to get a drink from the bird bath.

Thanks a lot Levina, I really hoped these would come out because of the nice BG. The BG is our neighbor's bushes as they're blooming right now.

Many thanks Steve. They look cute but they were king of the bird bath. Chasing away all the other sparrows. :)

Thanks for the comments Eric. That bird was watching the other sparrow get their drink first.
