This is my first time starting one of these challenges so I really hope the theme is ok and everyone has fun with it!

So what I'd like to see this week is anything nature - streams, waterfalls, landscape, mountains, critters ect. Anything you can find out in nature. The only rule is I wanna see it in Black & White!! I've always felt that once a photo goes to black and white it can portray so much more emotion and feeling. I hope this is a good theme and everyone can join in!

So get outside and start shooting! :)

Hey guys, I'm glad to be a part of this one now too!

So, here's my submission to the competition. I wish I could have spent more time on it, but starting tomorrow I'll be pulling overtime in the gas station, so this was my only day to get some shots.

F-Stop: f/7.1
ISO: 100
Exposure bias: -0.7
Focal Length: 200mm
White Balance: Auto

Date Created: 04/18/2010 at 1:38PM

Also did some post processing and conversion to B&W and JPEG from RAW in Digital Photo Professional. Resizing was done in Adobe Photoshop.

I hate to be picky here, but the pictures has to have the time when the picture was taken. Every pictures has to be taken this week. Pictures taken earlier this year are not valid. By the way, great shots all of you...

it's important to post the time along with your shot as PROOF for people like kent that are waiting to bust us.......just kidding, kent.

it's important to post the time to prove that we did shoot the shot w/in the timeframe. but, more importantly, it's important to GET OUT AND SHOOT W/IN THE TIMEFRAME. the point of these challenges is to keep us shooting weekly by giving us a new ideas to try. if we had to come up with our own ideas, we would likely burn out pretty quickly and our growth inside the hobby would start to die off or flatline. and, we dont want that...lol.

Well, personally, I agree, chopper. I love photography too much to let myself get bored with it, and let it die. Well, thanks for checking up Kent, lol. I'm pretty sure I'm within the rules. Although, my shot is kinda...meh. Lol. I shot it sunday because that was my only day off, so I hope I didn't waste time here, it's not very stunning.

No problem all of you. It is easy to miss some details in the challenge description. In other challenges here any pictures can be posted, so I understand that you can have missed that. Thanks for being honest, and I am looking forward to see youre contribution. As I said, great shots. I would have loved to give my vote on them.

Sorry that I mis-entered, I assure you it was not intentional, ( and I actually realized this before I saw Kents post) I missed the time on this one and certainly would not have picked the photo I did, (when it was 80 degrees here today) had I realized it( I should have read this one better I know 2 of the three rebel challenges have time frames of that week) please accept my apology and my entry that was shot in the correct time frame.
